Hen expresses different types of ambiguity. Balanced on a tiny point on its black dolerite base, the heavy marble sculpture gives the impression of lightness despite weighing several hunderd kilos. It is a monumental vertical structure with an open slit in the middle that wakes the viewer’s curiosity. Hen has two sides, one expressing the feminine with a soft shape. The opposite side has sharply protruding architectural shapes that can be associated with masculinity. The central piece, made of Carrara marble, is divided in such a way that you can see the marble pattern moving from one side to the other.
Hen is 183 cm high, 48 cm wide and 35 cm deep. It is made of Swedish blue Ekeberg marble, Carrara marble and a base made of dolerite from the province of Småand.
