The sustainability of this work is based on the fact that these two granite blocks with holes carved in them were to be crushed into gravel, had I not taken them and transformed them into a sculpture. Initially, I exhibited them as they were, which led to a lot of discussion among viewers. Children like to crawl in and sit in the tunnels or on top of the blocks, so I further developed the work with a colourful mural inside one of the stone blocks. In the spring I plan to paint inside the other block as well, but with a more graphic expression using colour sparingly to balance the overall impression.
